McGovern Medical School: Class of 1991
It’s been 35 years since we graduated from medical school, yet many of us still remember the early mornings, late nights, and friendships formed in the Leather Lounge. Those experiences shaped who we became as physicians.
Today’s students are following in our footsteps, and as the Class of 1991, we have a special opportunity to support a tradition that meant so much to us: the Henry Strobel Retreat. For nearly 50 years, this retreat has welcomed first-year students with guidance, community, and connections that last a lifetime. As the retreat approaches its 50th anniversary in 2026, we hope you will join us in helping ensure every student can participate without the burden of registration costs. In honor of our 35th class anniversary, please consider a gift of $50 or more to keep this tradition strong for the next generation of students.
A gift of any size in support of the Strobel Retreat or the fund of your choice made between September 1, 2025, and August 31, 2026, will count toward the class gift and help the Class of 1991 come out on top in the fundraising challenge!
We hope you will join us at Alumni Weekend on March 27-28 to reminisce about our time at McGovern Medical School, reconnect with old friends and classmates, and see how the school has grown and developed since we began our careers as physicians.
Thank you for continuing to set an example as a McGovern Medical School graduate and considering a gift to support the next generation of physicians.
Sincerely,
Michael A. Andreo, MD '91 and Melanie A. Collins, MD '91
