McGovern Medical School: Class of 2002

Dear Classmates,

As a fellow graduate of McGovern Medical School at UTHealth, I am excited to invite you to a first-of-its-kind weekend in Houston where we can reconnect with the school and each other.  

At Alumni Weekend on March 25-26, 2022, we will have the opportunity to catch up with classmates, reminisce about your time at McGovern Medical School, and discover how the school continues to lead the way in medical research and education. 

Our time will include experiences specifically designed for alumni, such as:

• Student-led tours of McGovern Medical School that offer insight into the school’s ongoing development and the experiences of students today. 
• A culinary brunch workshop that illuminates the role of nutrition in preventing chronic disease and shows how to incorporate healthy foods into treatment plans. 
• A reunion dinner where we can reconnect and network with fellow graduates.

While many aspects of McGovern Medical School change through the years, from improved technology to new teaching methods, the heart of our school stays the same through every class of new physicians: commitment to educational excellence, dedication to patient-centered research, and emphasis on the compassion and humanity central to medicine.
