Events of the last year have highlighted the importance of well-trained, qualified nurses who can provide compassionate patient care and further critical research while leading teams across health care. It is vital that we support our graduates as they prepare to take on this essential role in health care.
At Cizik School of Nursing at UTHealth, we celebrate the next generation of nurses during a pinning ceremony. This time-honored tradition is one of the ways we welcome graduates into the professional world of nursing while acknowledging their skills, accomplishments, leadership, and commitment to our community. The ceremony signifies that graduates of Cizik School of Nursing are equipped with the knowledge and expertise needed to serve patients in Houston and around the world.
Join us in showing support for future nurses by making a gift to our Nursing Pin Crowdfunding Campaign. We are launching this initiative in conjunction with National Nurses Week—a time dedicated to recognizing nurses and the nursing profession—in an effort to raise $5,000 for the lapel pins given to graduates at the ceremony. Your gift not only provides the pins, but also commemorates their transitions from student nurses to practicing nurses.
