Henry W. Strobel, PhD, was an icon at UTHealth. An energetic educator and meticulous scientist, Dr. Strobel joined the newly established UTHealth as one of the original faculty members in 1972. Over the years, his compassion, kindness, and patience left a mark on everyone he met.
From serving as a beloved faculty and student mentor to establishing the first annual retreat for incoming medical students, the ripple effects of Dr. Strobel’s contributions continue to impact lives across UTHealth and the communities we serve. In honor of his extraordinary work, Dr. Strobel’s friends and former students are spearheading an effort to establish the Henry W. Strobel, PhD, Scholarship at MD Anderson UTHealth Graduate School.
By providing financial assistance to outstanding graduate students, this scholarship will continue Dr. Strobel’s legacy of recognizing and celebrating the success of his students.
