2021 McGovern Medical School White Coat Sponsorship Campaign

In 2018, we had a small goal of raising $2,000 to fund five white coats for five students at McGovern Medical School. We launched our first campaign that year and an incredible movement was set into motion. Our community rallied together around this important cause, helping us surpass our goal within the first few days of the campaign launch to raise over $21,000, allowing us to purchase white coats for an entire class of medical students! This initiative quickly grew into something even bigger than we could have imagined, and we are so grateful for the support that was provided to make this wonderful achievement possible.

Following our landmark 2018 campaign, our community has continued to rally around us each year to raise the funds needed to purchase white coats for the next class of medical students. We are excited to kick off this special campaign again on UTHealth’s third annual Giving Day on April 6, 2021, and we have our sights set on reaching our fundraising goal once more. This year, our goal is to raise $18,000 for 240 white coats. Each gift of support launches the career of a medical student in the best possible way. A white coat that is funded by donors like you is a symbolic vote of confidence for these students as they begin their medical careers.
