From prostate cancer to heart conditions, men are at risk for life-threatening diseases—yet many do not seek treatment until it is too late. Across UTHealth, our experts are working to increase awareness of preventable health conditions and encourage regular health checkups for men throughout our communities. Through early detection and advanced treatment options, we are helping men enjoy longer, healthier lives.
UTHealth Live's Taking charge of men’s health: Advances in cancer care and heart health, held on March 23, 2021, featured a group of panelists from McGovern Medical School who were brought together to discuss common men’s health issues and how UTHealth is working to keep men healthy throughout our communities. Carlos A. Moreno, MD, moderated the compelling session which featured Steven E. Canfield, MD, Francisco Fuentes, MD, and Qingyun “Jim” Liu, PhD.
