About Dr. Landry
Susan H. Landry, PhD, is a visionary, an advocate, a teacher, a researcher, and a celebrated leader. But above all, she is the answer for parents seeking help for their children who face developmental and educational challenges. Dr. Landry embodies our society’s shared goal to help all children reach their full potential.
As Founding Director of the Children’s Learning Institute (CLI) at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth, she has passionately devoted her career to improving the learning and health outcomes of vulnerable children in Texas and beyond. Under her leadership, CLI has grown into the preeminent resource for learning solutions, comprising more than 20 faculty members and nearly 300 research, clinical, and educational staff members. Together, the experts at CLI pioneer interventions that help parents and teachers support child development and education.
A surprise to honor a lasting legacy
As Dr. Landry prepares to retire, we invite you to honor her legacy of selfless service by joining our initiative to establish the Susan H. Landry, PhD, Research and Education Endowment at CLI. Your gift will help us meet our goal of raising $100,000 to create this endowment as a surprise tribute to Dr. Landry’s enduring commitment.
Since we want to surprise Dr. Landry with news of this fund, please do not disclose this initiative to her.
This endowment will extend Dr. Landry’s vision at CLI by supporting emergent research priorities, funding educational opportunities, and helping to attract and retain the brightest faculty members. Its corpus will live in perpetuity as a source of renewing funds to improve the education and health of the youngest and most vulnerable members in our communities.
